We are totally astounded by the large flow of buyers at Yarn Expo, which has more than 15400. SGCCI sent invitations to thousands of buyers, which resulted in buyers visiting not just from Surat, but all over India and also foreign countries. We would like to thank all exhibitors and buyers for making Yarn Expo 2022 a grand success.
Mr Girdhargopal Mundra, Yarn Expo Chairman
Surat consumes around 80,000 tons of yarn per month, which is why a yarn exhibition was Very much needed. Several exhibitors have informed that the response has been beyond expectations. Which is why, many exhibitors have committed to taking up larger spaces for the next edition. Our other objective was to tackle the slowdown in the industry. I am sure Yarn Expo will help the industry get over the slowdown as weavers will now develop newer fabrics from the latest generation of yarns shown at Yarn Expo.
Mr. Bijal Jariwala, Chairman, Exhibition 2022-23
Following the success of Yarn Expo 2022, SGCCI has already announced dates of the 2023 edition. Seeing the success of this edition, we anticipate that many more yarn manufacturers from all over India will partake in the 2023 edition. SGCCI expects that Yarn Expo 2023 will double in size as well as exhibitor numbers as against the 2022 edition. We look forward to meeting all of you again in 2023.
