The Microfiber Consortium (TMC) today announced a new 2030 commitment and plan aimed at aligning the sector, understanding fragmentation, and mitigating textile microfiber pollution.
H&M, Helly Hansen, Finisterre, and Birla Cellulose are among the early signatories to the research-led NGO, which intends to gather more than 200 firms and organisations by the end of the decade as it works toward annual targets.
TMC will also form research “task teams” composed of industry professionals to focus on certain study areas over the next few years, for which people are urged to apply in order to have a more hands-on participation within the roadmap’s framework.
