Surat : The 5th edition of “Yarn Expo” will start from 4 August in the textile city Surat. Different qualities of special yarn will be a special attraction in the three days exhibition to be organized by The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries(SGCCI) from 4 to 6 August.
All varieties of yarn like 100% polyester textured yarn, dope dyed polyester yarn, recycled polyester yarn, sislo polyester yarn, blend yarn, ketonic yarn, air textured yarn, slub yarn, cotton look polyester yarn, used in fabric production will be displayed in the three days expo.The exhibition will also showcase Cotton Felt Polyester Yarn, Fancy Polyester Yarn, Inherent Fire Retardant Yarn and Inherent Anti Bacterial Yarn etc.
SGCCI President Ramesh Vaghasia said, this exhibition will be organized in about 1 lakh 16 thousand square feet area and about 90 exhibitors are participating. Apart from Surat, exhibitors from Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Mumbai, Ichchalkaranji, Erode, Salem, Madurai, Coimbatore, Karnataka, Telangana, Kolkata, Goa (Vasco) and Pune will also participate in the three days event.
SGCCI vice president Vijay Mewawala said, Yarn Expo-2023 will be inaugurated on Friday, 4th August 2023 at 10:30 am at Convention Centre, Sarsana, Surat. The inaugural function will be held at Seminar hall SIECC Dome, Sarsana, Surat. Gujarat State Industries and MSME Commissioner Sandeep J. Sagale (IAS) will be present as the chief guest.
Earlier only plastic jari was used to make fabric, but now a days eco-friendly jari made from bamboo fibers is being used to make clothes. This eco-friendly yarn can be used for conventional knitting and high speed techniques like rapier, airjet and waterjet knitting. The exclusive Rainbow Metallic yarn shows off different colors from different angles, giving any fabric an adorable iridescent sheen. It can be used in saree, lace or any other product. It can also be used to create masterpieces especially in designer clothes. These yarn will mark it’s presence in the exhibition.
The chairman of “Yarn Expo-2023” Mr. Girdhargopal Mundada said, the exhibitors will display products such as cotton, polyester, wool, silk, linen, viscose, ramie and spandex showing the changes and developments in natural and man made fabrics. Apart from this, various specialty fibers like elastic, metallic, embroidered, textured, slub, dope dyed spun, low torque and fancy melange will also be seen. More than 20 thousand buyers and visitors are expected to visit the exhibition.
