Cotton yarn exports increased by 3.26 percent during fiscal year 2020-21, surpassing $1 million, compared to the previous fiscal year 2019-20. According to data provided by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), cotton yarn worth $1,016,969 was exported from July to June 2020-21, compared to $984,901 in the previous fiscal year 2019-20.
Cotton carded or combed exports grew by 3.17 percent to $65,000 in the previous fiscal year, compared to exports of $63,000 in the previous fiscal year 2019-20. Meanwhile, cotton cloth exports grew by 4.98 percent, totaling $1,921,001, in the previous fiscal year, compared to $1,829,901 in the previous fiscal year 2019-20.
