3rd Dornbirn GFC Innovation Days
13 – 15 September 2023, Dornbirn Austria
The 62nd Dornbirn GFC will take place from September 13 – 15, 2023 at the Kulturhaus, Dornbirn, Austria. The offer of the Dornbirn GFC 2023 will be significantly expanded. The number of presentations has increased to 120. The selection of halls for the presentations will also be extended.
International speakers from industry and research will present the latest innovations in the fiber and textile industry on a total of 4 stages. A special form of catering and a special culinary offer expects the visitors of the Dornbirn GFC this year. One of the city’s top gastronomers will cook for the guests of the Dornbirn GFC. On the way with his state-of-the-art food trucks, selected regional specialties will be served.
Early Bird Ticket:
Until May 31, 2023, the Early Bird Ticket is available at a reduced price. The participant ticket includes the visit of all 120 expert lectures, the exhibition area, the 3rd Innovation Days and the traditional gala evening on the opening day with buffet and fashion show. The congress ticket also includes a first-class lunch on Wednesday and Thursday, all drinks and fruits, , coffee and cake during the breaks.
3rd Innovation Days

That’s what 2022 participants shared during an interview. You can watch them on our new YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@dornbirnglobalfibercongress The organizing team of the Dornbirn GFC took the spirit of the Innovation Days and developed a higher quality offering for participants and visitors. As part of the Dornbirn GFC, the 3rd Innovation Days will be given a larger platform. In cooperation with FashionForGood and PWC(PriceWaterhouseCoopers), the 25 participants of the 3rd Innovation Days will start pitching their innovations on the opening morning. More than 500 professionals will follow the short intro of each young company. The heart of the Innovation Days – the Contact Point – is located in the large Foyer of the event location. At this place the expert audience and the participants of the Innovation Days will connect.
FashionForGood “is here to make all fashion good” is a company with a great deal of experience in the “fashion industry” and the many innovations in this area – FashionForGood will accompany the young, innovative entrepreneurs through the congress and open up further dimensions.
RWTH AACHEN University supports on the key topic of sustainability & Circular Economy
A special block of lectures will result from the cooperation on the topic of sustainability between RWTH Aachen University and European industry partner. The Swiss company TEXAID Textilverwertungs-AG will start this block with the lecture: “Sustainability in the textile industry: How spinning mills turn recycled material into yarn”. Further, several other relevant industry players will be on stage and will show their innovations on this enormously important topic and the way forward.

Das Angebot des Dornbirn GFC 2023 wird wesentlich erweitert. Die Zahl der Fachvorträge ist auf 120 gestiegen. Ausgedehnt wird auch die Auswahl der Säle für die Fachvorträge. Auf insgesamt 4 Bühnen präsentieren internationale Speaker aus Industrie und Forschung die neuesten Innovationen der Faserund Textilindustrie. Die Besucher des Dornbirn GFC erwartet in diesem Jahr eine besondere Form der Bewirtung und ein kulinarisches Angebot. Ein Top-Gastronom der Stadt kocht für die Gäste des Dornbirn GFC. Mit seinen modernst ausgestatteten Food Trucks werden ausgewählte regionale Spezialitäten serviert.
Early Bird Ticket:
Bis zum 31. Mai 2023 ist das Early Bird Ticket zum ermäßigten Preis erhältlich. Das Teilnehmerticket beinhaltet den Besuch aller 120 Fachvorträge, des Ausstellungsbereiches, der 3. Innovation Days und des traditionellen Galaabends am Eröffnungstag mit Buffet und Modeschau. Weiters inkludiert im Kongressticket ist ein erstklassiges Mittagessen jeweils am Mittwoch und Donnerstag, alle Getränke und Obst in den Pausen, Cafe und Kuchen.

Im Rahmen des Dornbirn GFC erhalten die 3. Innovation Days in diesem Jahr eine größere Plattform.
In Kooperation mit FashionForGood und PWC starten die 25 Teilnehmer der 3. Innovations Days mit ihrer Präsentation am Eröffnungsvormittag. Das gesamte Fachpublikum wird im Saal A versammelt sein und diese verfolgen. Im grossen Foyer des Veranstaltungzentrum befindet sich das Herzstück der Innovation Days – der Contact Point. Hier treffen das Fachpublikum und die Teilnehmer der Innovation Days aufeinander.

Aus der Zusammenarbeit zum Thema Nachhaltigkeit, der RWTH Aachen mit europäischen Industriepartnern, geht ein besonderer Vortragsblock hervor. Das Schweizer Unternehmen TEXAID Textilverwertungs-AG startet diesen mit dem Vortrag: „Nachhaltigkeit in der Textilindustrie: Wie die Spinnerei Recyclingmaterial zu Garn verarbeitet“. Weitere renommierte Unternehmen werden ihre Innovationen zu diesem enorm wichtigen Thema präsentieren.
