The sustainable advancements that are being achieved in the denim industry are being brought to light in a new exhibition that can be seen at The Mills Fabrica in London. This exhibition is comprised of a mix of interactive tools, experiential shopping, and immersive workshops.

Amy Tsang, who is working as the head of Europe for The Mills Fabrica, adds that denim was selected as the primary topic of discussion for the event because of its vital function in the fashion industry.

“Everyone has a pair of jeans,” she explains to Just Style. And it is not going out of fashion. Therefore, such an iconic piece of clothing must be produced in a manner that is more environmentally friendly.

This event, which will run for a total of six months, will highlight the most recent developments made by industry-leading clothing and textile firms such as AGI Denim and Huue. Additionally, it illustrates contemporary developments in the circularity, sustainability, and eco-friendly techniques that are used in the denim business.

According to The Mills Fabrica, denim is “one of the most environmentally detrimental sectors” within the fashion industry because of the large amount of chemicals required in the dyeing process. Furthermore, according to the United Nations Environment Programme, the production of a single pair of jeans requires around 2,000 gallons of water.
