Oerlikon Barmag and Nanshan Fashion Forge Partnership for Nylon Project

Oerlikon Barmag, a leading provider of textile machinery and technology, has officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Nanshan Fashion, a renowned integrated textile manufacturer, to embark on their latest nylon POY+DTY project in Longkou, Shandong, China. The agreement was announced at the ITMA ASIA CITME 2022 event, marking a significant milestone for both companies.

For Oerlikon, this collaboration serves as an opportunity to work with a renowned brand, DELLMA, and gain insights into consumer market developments and their impact on the manmade fibre industry. Oerlikon’s CEO, Georg Stausberg, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that they are proud to support Nanshan Fashion in establishing their presence in the manmade fibre production sector.

Nanshan Fashion, on the other hand, is venturing into manmade fibre production for the first time and has chosen Oerlikon Barmag as its partner. Chairman and General Manager of Shandong Nanshan Fashion, Zhao Liang, emphasized the commitment of both parties to building Nanshan Fashion’s nylon business into an industry benchmark and achieving international recognition.

The signing ceremony was attended by China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) President Sun Ruizhe, who hailed the partnership and emphasized the importance of international collaborations within China’s textile industry.

Over the years, Oerlikon Barmag has collaborated with leading companies in the manmade fibre industry, solidifying its position as a key player in China’s textile industry. The company has been at the forefront of innovation, continually enhancing spinning design and developing sustainable production practices.

Under this new partnership, Oerlikon Barmag will offer a complete solution for nylon filament production, including equipment for chip drying, spinning, winding, and texturing. This comprehensive approach ensures an integrated quality control process from chip to yarn, resulting in significant value for both companies.

The Oerlikon Barmag and Nanshan Fashion collaboration is expected to set a benchmark in the nylon industry and drive the internationalization of Nanshan Fashion’s brand.
