In order to increase collaboration between Indian fabric and value-added material suppliers and Bangladesh’s RMG manufacturers, particularly in the area of Man Made Fibers and cotton-based materials using SOWTEX Phygital (physical and digital bridge) Sourcing platform, another memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between BGMEA and SOWTEX. This was done as part of Bangladesh’s efforts to increase RMG exports.

The platform provides big textile supply chains from India and other nations with connectivity and facilitation support.

The MoU was signed by Sonil Jain, CEO of Sowtex Network, and Faruque Hassan, president of the BGMEA.

Shovon Islam, chair of the BGMEA Standing Committee on Press, Publicity, and Publicity, attended the signing ceremony on January 11 in Dhaka.

The SOWTEX-BGMEA is currently planning joint roadshows in Indian textile clusters with other textile associations, leading manufacturing members of the BGMEA, and significant Indian raw material producers in many Indian cities.

In Bangladesh, expos are also scheduled to boost the pace for this second round of engagement.

The exhibitions will be crucial in fostering business relationships between Indian RMG, textile, and raw material suppliers and Bangladeshi RMG exporters in order to increase bilateral commerce.
