Leading textile manufacturer KPR has unveiled its ambitious plans to expand its fabric processing capacity and bolster its solar power generation capabilities. In response to the growing demand for processing services arising from the company’s increased garment production capacity, KPR will significantly expand its processing capacity from 25,000 MT to 37,000 MT per annum. This expansion, projected to cost Rs. 250 crores, is expected to be completed within a year.

KPR is also considering a modernization project for its existing processing facility to optimize its operations further. With an investment of Rs. 50 crores, the facility will undergo upgrades to improve its efficiency and capabilities, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.

Demonstrating its commitment to a sustainable future, KPR has set its sights on augmenting its solar power generation capacity. Currently boasting a rooftop solar power generation capacity of 12 MW, the company plans to invest Rs. 100 crores to install an additional 25 MW of solar power generation. This initiative will bring the total solar power generation capacity to an impressive 37 MW, significantly reducing carbon footprint and reliance on conventional power sources.

Once the expansion and solar power projects are completed, KPR is expected to achieve a commendable green power capacity of 100 MW, encompassing both wind and solar power sources. By substantially meeting its power needs through renewable sources, KPR reaffirms its strong commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

With these strategic moves, KPR aims to solidify its position as a leading player in the textile industry, driving growth through increased processing capacity and a sustainable approach to power generation.
