Asahi Kasei, a diversified Japanese global corporation, announces the debut of Bemliese™, a patented ultra-sustainable continuous-filament cellulosic nonwoven fabric, in North America through its US trade arm, Asahi Kasei Advance America. Bemliese is a nonwoven fabric sheet produced from cotton linter, which is made up of microscopic hair-like fibres found on cotton seeds. Asahi Kasei is the only business in the world with a clean unique technique for processing this linter to generate sheets that can be incorporated into a wide range of product designs. The biodegradable and compostable material is suitable for a variety of disposable items and applications.
When dried, Bemliese leaves almost little lint, scratches, or chemicals on the surfaces it touches. Because of its great purity, the material is devoid of extra oils and chemicals that may be present in comparable materials. When wet, it may securely grasp the surface of an object and hold the substance in place as it dries. Unlike standard face sheets, which may include plastics, cotton is a 100-percent natural source, clean production, and fast biodegradability.
Bemliese™, a biodegradable cloth, may be utilised in agriculture, landscaping, and home products. It is a one-of-a-kind substance that is not only superior in performance but also nearly 100% biodegradable in four weeks. The firm has received worldwide certifications for “OK compost INDUSTRIAL” and “OK compost HOME.”
