RE-, the Autumn-Winter 2022-2023 Trend Book presented at the Texworld Evolution Paris showroom, announces the resurgence of all styles, the emergence of a cycle of creative expansion to be discovered in preview…

Texworld Evolution Paris – Le Showroom, which will be held from 5 to 8 July 2021 in the heart of Paris, will once again provide an opportunity to discover the Trends Forum designed by Texworld Paris’ artistic directors, Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud. Their reflection, which structures the RE- inspiration book, establishes the main creative lines of fashion for Autumn-Winter 2022-2023.

Staged in the Rue du Mail venue – one of the two places, along with the Atelier Richelieu, chosen by Messe Frankfurt France to host this showroom – this new forum provides new perspectives. After the trilogy opened in 2020, the two artistic directors propose to (RE)-invent a new creative playground based on four major themes: resistance, elevation, osmosis and enjoyment. All paths are open.

Resistance. « Protect yourself and ensure the future by resisting the forces of the present. […] No house of straw or wood, but of solid and reassuring stones. Walls like ramparts. The uncertain future remains threatening. At the risk of appearing skittish, some of us will choose security. » This theme is based on a very earthy palette, anchored in the ground. It evokes the power of roots, clay, and the mineral, with tones that range from carbon black to ochre, loamy, and ending in a tender, fluorescent green.

Elevation. « We must become more. Become better. To leave our condition which imposes us to repeat our mistakes. […] To be one, but with the sky. Up there, prepare the human of after. […] To think of oneself as a bridge. and to aim for perfection after being proud of our own weaknesses. » This ethereal creative axis consecrates the blue palettes, transparent and glassy (glassy ink) to the effects of plastic materials, but also more pinkish tones, evoking the warmth of the skin (warm comfort).

Osmosis. « The show is too beautiful. Rampant. In the crisis, the solutions found by the world alone seem obvious. Mankind must bow down. […] A return to the bowsom of mother nature. An osmosis that leaves the reins to the one who has always known and will always know. […] Kissing nature, embracing it, sweeping it up into a frantic waltz. » Osmose is expressed through a tonal approach borrowed from nature, with clearly affirmed vegetal and floral notes: green is at the forefront, expressing the jungle, but also sediments, earth or sap (snake skin effect, organic…).

Jouissance. « If there are no rules, no truth, then only pleasure counts. A wise, mature pleasure. […] Rid of the weight of importance that we has given ourselves, we are light. As light as a chuckle. Colorful and multiple like free desire. There are no limits. No barriers. » This theme is surely the one that best carries the initial claim of a “renewal of all styles”. It highlights sweet, luscious colours, but also contrasts, between vegetal and mineral, soft and hard (velvet and crystal), with iridescent or pearly effects.

Visitors to the showroom, invited at a time slot of their choice, will be able to discover these major themes in the Trends Forum set up at 5 rue du Mail, in the Parisian fashion district. This space will be enriched by a selection of textile and clothing samples that will illustrate each of the universes of Autumn-Winter 2022-2023.
