Textile Export Promotion Councils to Organize Bharat Tex 2024, a Global Textile Expo in New Delhi

Ahmedabad: In a bid to showcase the immense potential of the Indian textile industry, a consortium of Textile Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) will be hosting Bharat Tex 2024, a global textile expo, from February 26-29 in New Delhi. With the support of the Ministry of Textiles, this major event aims to bring together the entire textile value chain under one roof.

The Textiles Export Promotion Council and the Powerloom Development and Export Promotion Council jointly organized a roadshow for Bharat Tex in Ahmedabad on Monday. Prajakta Verma, joint secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, expressed the significance of this event, stating that it provides an unprecedented opportunity for the Indian textile industry. It is expected that over 3,000 international buyers will visit the expo.

Bharat Chhajer, coordinator of Bharat Tex 2024, highlighted the size and scope of the event. The expo will take place at Bharat Mandapam, covering an area of more than 22 lakh square feet. Over 3,500 exhibitors from all over the country are expected to participate, attracting more than 40,000 buyers. Additionally, approximately 50% of the participants in the textile segment will be from Gujarat. The organizers believe that this expo will boost the sentiments of the Indian textile industry.

With Bharat Tex 2024, India aims to demonstrate its prowess in the global textile market and attract international buyers, thereby reinforcing its position as a key player in the industry.
