July, Mumbai:

13th edition of HGH India, a bi-annual trade show for Home Textiles, Home Décor, Home Furniture, Houseware & Gifts for the Indian domestic market, witnessed a footfall of 41,230 visitors. HGH India was held in Mumbai from July 4-7 at Bombay Exhibition Centre to facilitate sourcing and trends information for retailers, distributors and importers for the forthcoming festive season.

Trade buyers hailed from 600 cities and towns in India. 400 international visitors from 33 countries were also part of this four-day show, making it the highest number of visitors since its start in 2012. 700 brands and manufacturers from 32 countries showcased their products.

The show, as always, was generously supported by eminent personalities and special guests who graced the occasion with their presence. These guests included – Mrs. Rachna Shah, Secretary Textiles, Ministry of Textiles, Ms. Roop Rashi, Textile Commissioner, Mr. A. R Gokhe, Director, MSME (Mumbai office), Mr. Hasmukh Shah, Chairman, IIID (Mumbai), Ar. Reza Kabul, Ar. Hiten Sethi, Mrs. Vandana Kumar, Additional Secretary, Rajya Sabha Secretariat.

Mr. Arun Roongta, Managing Director, Texzone Information Services Pvt. Ltd., organisers of HGH India said, “July is the prime sourcing season for the home trade in India. At this time, retailers and institutional buyers source new collections for their stores to cater to the forthcoming Autumn-Winter buying as well as Diwali/festive seasonal consumer demand. As anticipated by HGH India in the post-Covid market scenario, Indian home product consumers are ready for two season buying and hence retailers too must source twice a year to stay in line with the seasonal trends for Spring/Summer and Autumn Winter, on international lines.

Integrating designs through home textiles, furnishing, home décor, home furniture and houseware through forecasted trends is a role HGH India wishes to play increasingly, in the years ahead. That is also why, this edition laid special emphasis on the architecture and design community and had over 1100 architects and designers at the show.

Home Furniture stood as a new category that was added to HGH India and was much appreciated by the buyers and visitors. The section housed complete range of living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, study room, bathroom, home office furniture, accent furniture, outdoor & leisure furniture.

HGH India will be back with its 14th edition, 13th to 16th December at the Indian Expo Center in Greater Noida.
