During a press conference held in Beijing on October 11, 2023, the organizers officially announced the upcoming events. The 2023 International Textile Manufactures Federation (ITMF) Annual Conference and the Sixth World Textile Merchandising Conference 2023 will be hosted in Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang. These conferences are scheduled to take place from November 3 to 10.
Keqiao is widely recognized as the leading global hub for textile trade distribution.
The geographical scope of this administrative division encompasses approximately 1000 square kilometres, while its economic and trade network establishes connections with 210 countries and regions.
Approximately 25% of the global textile products are exchanged within this region, boasting an annual revenue surpassing 330 billion yuan (equivalent to about 45.2 billion U.S. dollars).
As per the event organizer, the forthcoming ITMF Annual Conference will facilitate extensive deliberations among numerous participants on subjects encompassing the global macro-economy and China’s textile industry. Additionally, attendees can exchange practical insights and experiences about the worldwide textile industry.
The World Textile Merchandising Conference comprises a central theme forum and ten concurrent parallel forums.
The parallel forums encompass various events, such as a conference focused on “the Belt and Road Initiative,” a round table forum featuring renowned enterprises, a summit dedicated to textile digital inkjet printing, and a forum centred around the green development of the textile industry.
