2023 Intex India

The Intex India 2023 exhibition successfully ended, drawing a significant number of Indian and international buyers. These attendees enthusiastically explored unfamiliar offerings in order to enhance their home and international sales. Additionally, they sought valuable market insight, acquiring knowledge about emerging trends, innovations, and product expansion throughout the entire supply and value chain. Furthermore, the exhibition allowed them to forge valuable connections with participating organisations, amplifying their prospects for textile sourcing opportunities both within India and abroad.

Delhi to host Intex India trade show from December 7th to 9th

In the presence of senior representatives from the Vietnam Trade Office in New Delhi, Confederation of Indian Textiles Industry (CITI), Udyog Vihar Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Okhla Garment & Textiles Cluster (OGTC), Karnataka Innerwear Association, among others, the show was inaugurated by Ms Shubhra, Trade Advisor from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

Intex India witnessed the presence of prominent manufacturers and suppliers from both India and abroad. Their exhibits encompassed a diverse range of textiles, trims, clothing accessories, dyes, chemicals, certification and business consulting offerings. The event also presented prospects for trade and investment in Africa. Notably, the exhibition attracted several leading buyers, including renowned apparel manufacturers, brands, retailers, buying offices, and importers from major cities across India. Some notable attendees from this group included Calvin Klein, Benetton Sourcing, Ralph Lauren, Pepe Jeans, Pentland USA, Arvind Fashion & Lifestyle, Reliance Brands Limited, VIP Clothing, Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, Numero Uno, Bhartiya International, Go Go International, Celestial Lifestyle LLP, Celebrity Fashions, and Newtimes Group. Additionally, Intex played host to buyers from over ten countries, facilitating fruitful meetings between them and other participants throughout the three-day exhibition.

This year, two special forums, Intex Textile Conclave (ITC) and Interactive Business Forum (IBF), were held concurrently with the exhibition. These forums served as platforms for business leaders and industry experts to share insights, exchange ideas, explore business prospects, and drive future growth. The Intex Textile Conclave (ITC), in collaboration with DFU-FashionatingWorld, focused on the theme “Fibres of Fashion: Reimagining the Future of Textiles.” Notable speakers participated in panel discussions and presentations, shedding light on the Indian and global textile and apparel landscape. Topics covered included “Mapping India’s Fiber Market on a Global Canvas,” “Fibres of the Future,” and “Fabrics of Fashion & Functionality.”

The Interactive Business Forum Seminar Series featured a trends workshop hosted by two renowned trends forecasting agencies – WGSN from the UK and FashionSnoops USA. Additionally, IBF showcased a session on the involvement of artificial intelligence in the textile and apparel industry. These forums garnered substantial attendance from participants, trade buyers, delegates, and international visitors.

Intex India has gained the support and recognition of various industry trade bodies and business chambers, including the Confederation of Indian Textiles Industry (CITI), The Textile Association (India) Delhi Unit, Delhi Hindustani Mercantile Association (DHMA), Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA), Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan (GEAR), Noida Apparel & Textile Cluster (NAEC), Okhla Garment & Textile Cluster (OGTC), Gurgaon Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), NCR Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and numerous others.

All three editions of Intex held in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and India this year boasted the participation of over 400 exhibitors from 12+ countries. These exhibitors showcased their latest textile collections while also seeking new business and market opportunities in South Asia, a region second only to China in terms of size. Additionally, they successfully connected with more than 10,540 trade buyers from 20+ countries, both domestic and international.

The Next Editions of Intex: The Premier International Textile Sourcing Show of South Asia will be organised in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 30th May to 1st June 2024 and in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from 7th to 9th August 2024.
