ECO PASSPORT by OEKO‐TEX® is an independent testing and certification system for chemicals, colorants and auxiliaries used to manufacture textiles. A three‐stage verification process analyses whether the chemical products and each individual ingredient meet specific requirements with regard to sustainability, safety and compliance with statutory regulations.

As part of the verification process, we assess whether chemicals and their individual substances meet specific requirements in relation to sustainability, safety and compliance with legal requirements.

  • STAGE I: Comparison of the CAS number of the chemical ingredients against the ECO PASSPORT by OEKO‐TEX® list of chemicals of concern.
  • STAGE II: Analytical verification in our OEKO‐TEX® laboratories to ensure that the certified products can be used in the sustainable production of human‐ecologically optimized textiles.
  • STAGE III (On site Audit): Verification of product stewardship measures related to working conditions and environmental management (assessment and On‐site visit). STAGE I and II are mandatory to receive the ECO PASSPORT certificate.
