Delta Apparel Inc. reported preliminary sales and operational statistics for the fiscal third quarter of 2021, which concluded on July 3. Net sales for the June quarter are expected to be around $118 million, indicating a 65 percent increase over the prior year and nearly even with the third quarter of fiscal 2019.
Delta Activewear’s June quarter results showed exceptionally excellent sales across all sales channels. When compared to the third quarter of fiscal 2019, direct-to-consumer sales increased by more than 150 percent. In addition, the firm exceeded sales projections, with high demand from retail licencing and brand direct consumers. Stronger revenues, greater gross margins, and continuing cost-cutting measures are projected to result in earnings of more than $0.90 per share for the company’s fiscal 2021 June quarter.
Delta Corporation “I’m optimistic about our future and more confident than ever in our capacity to generate long-term, profitable growth.” The June quarter is normally the company’s biggest selling time of the year, but despite inventory restrictions and supply chain interruptions, it achieved profits that were considerably above forecasts.
