Embellish Print and Botanic Print are two new additions to Carnegie’s silicone hybrid-coated upholstery range. Carnegie is a provider of sustainable textiles and acoustical management solutions for the commercial industry. These prints, which are a part of the new Conscious Collection, are more sustainable, more cleanable, and have the appearance of woven cloth thanks to digital printing technology.
According to Mary Holt, Chief Design Strategist at Carnegie, “Embellish Print and Botanic Print embody Carnegie’s dedication to sustainable innovation and timeless design.” “With these products, we hope to enable designers to create environments that enhance wellbeing and social connection, and they perfectly capture Carnegie’s seven-decade commitment to people and the environment.”
In a market overrun with vinyl and “forever chemicals,” Embellish Print and Botanic Print distinguish themselves as being completely free of PVC, finishes, and PFAS. This is consistent with Carnegie’s mission to establish new benchmarks for ecologically friendly design. The fabric type is Clean Performance Urethanes (CPUs), which are produced by a more recent procedure that produces a soft hand without the use of DMF solvents or the conventional “wet method” that frequently contaminates water supplies and causes quality problems.
Embellish print and botanical print are stain- and bleach-resistant, naturally antimicrobial, and made to withstand the rigors of high-traffic areas without sacrificing style. They can even be cleaned with hospital-grade disinfectants. These upholstery options are flexible and versatile, making them appropriate for a variety of settings, such as workplaces, hotels, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions.
