Garment label manufacturer Avery Dennison has launched a new digital care label by tying up with Ambercycle, which is a recycler based in Los Angeles.
This Digital label has a QR code that links to an app, where we get all the details of the specific garment. It provides details on how it was produced, how it should care and how to disposed of so that it can be recycled.
This assures transparency across the supply chain and also can provide new digital revenue streams for brands. It has also become easier for the marketing of additional products to consumers by using the app.
