A family-owned textile rental business that is now in its fourth generation has plans to make an investment of $15 million in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, the exact location where it was established in 1929.

Construction on the new 55,000-square-foot commercial laundry facility that Loop Linen Service plans to build at the crossroads of U.S. 90 and Louisiana 18 is slated to begin in the early years of the year 2025, according to the company’s projections. During the relocation to the new location, the company will keep all 125 of its current employees on staff. According to Louisiana Economic Development, it is anticipated that the project will result in the creation of an additional 48 indirect jobs in the region.

According to Michael Hecht, President and Chief Executive Officer of Greater New Orleans, Inc., “For more than 90 years, Loop Linen has grown its family operations from generation to generation, and this expansion ensures that the best is yet to come” “The cutting-edge new facility makes it simpler to provide quality services for their clients and creates a productive environment in which their employees can flourish,” the article states. Because of this investment, Loop Linen’s rich legacy in Jefferson Parish, where the Burke family has been a driving presence in the local business community, will be preserved and strengthened.

Cynthia Lee Sheng, the President of Jefferson Parish, referred to the continuation of Loop Linen’s operations in the parish as an honor.

She stated that “Jefferson Parish and the Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission have worked together to create and maintain economic conditions that are attractive to our business community.” “Loop Linen’s continuous investment in Jefferson Parish is a testament to the excellent business climate, accessibility, skill, and responsive government we have here. We are pleased to be able to contribute to their continued growth in our community.

According to Louisiana Economic Development, the new building is expected to begin operations sixteen months after ground was broken for the project.

In the beginning, Loop Linen was a dry cleaning and laundry company. Still, they now offer clothing, table linen, and walk-off mats to the food and beverage industry as well as the hospitality industry.
