In the next two years, it is anticipated that the Government of India’s production linked incentive (PLI) plans will increase hiring in all industries. According to TeamLease data, 60% of Indian businesses believe that the PLI sector will help with recruiting intentions. The pharmaceutical sector is responsible for the majority of the favourable hiring sentiment (68%) followed by the white goods sector (67%) and textile products (62 percent). According to the PLI Effect on Job Creation report, the PLI scheme’s boost is also expected to have an effect on the MSME ecosystem and increase the number of women working.
