Under the Micro & Small Businesses – Cluster Development Plan of the central micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) ministry, an investment of around 190 crore is envisaged in the projected power loom cluster at Mohammadpura in the Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh (MSE-CDP). 12.9 crore is what it will cost to develop the projected cluster, according to estimates.

According to a leading Indian English-language newspaper, the cluster’s development is about two-fifths complete, and the project’s deadline is in September of this year.

With approximately 40,000 power loom units running out of houses, cramped spaces, and haphazard workplaces throughout the city, Burhanpur is a hotspot for looms. The cluster will employ close to 4,000 people and include about 64 plots for business participants. In Burhanpur, three textile clusters are suggested. The remaining two are approaching at Sukhpuri and Nimbola.
