Ananth Narayanan, CEO and creator of Mensa Brands, told FE that after being acquired, Dennis Lingo (DL) and Pebble have expanded significantly.

The two businesses, DL and Pebble, joined the aggregation in October 2021 and June 2022, respectively. They are two of the more than 20 brands that Mensa has purchased in the past 21 months or so.But the ARR of smart wearables manufacturer Pebble increased from less than Rs 100 crore before to the acquisition to over Rs 220 crore. The business did not immediately provide information on the growth patterns of the other brands it has so far bought.

An increasing consumer base, a focus on digital transformation, and aggressive positioning on a number of previously unlisted e-commerce sites like Amazon, Flipkart, and others have allowed companies to grow. collectively aided the businesses’ expansion. That was especially useful for Pebble, which was mostly an offline brand before Mensa Brands acquired it.

Mensa intends to expand both brands internationally in the upcoming months by starting business operations in the US (for DL) and the Middle East (for Pebble). The business emphasises the omnichannel strategy that many e-commerce companies are pursuing by announcing plans to create its first physical store for DL in Mumbai by the end of May.
