Joe Limbaugh and James Howe have been promoted, effective June 1, 2023, to executive vice president and chief commercial officer, respectively, and chief technology officer, respectively, at Motion Industries, Inc., a distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation replacement parts and a leading provider of industrial technology solutions. Both will continue to answer to Randy Breaux, president of Motion.

Mr. Limbaugh will commemorate 40 years of service to Motion this year. He was elevated to the position of Executive Vice President in 2021, where he now oversees tactical strategies to raise customer satisfaction standards and boost Motion’s output. He will be in charge of running all of the Mi solutions businesses in addition to his present duties as the leader of Marketing, Supply Chain, DC/FC Operations, Real Estate, and Enterprise Excellence. This comprises Motion Ai, Mi Repair & Services, Mi Conveyance Solutions, and Mi Fluid Power Solutions.

After 30 years with Motion, Mr. Howe just celebrated his promotion to Executive Vice President in 2021, where he will be in charge of eCommerce, strategic pricing, sales excellence, and corporate accounts. With the additional duty of Human Resources, he will continue to be the leader in these areas.

These two executive promotions are well earned, according to Mr. Breaux. “Joe and James have both established themselves as outstanding leaders for Motion in their different fields of the business throughout the years. They also continue to take on new duties to strengthen our value proposition and play critical roles in setting the company’s strategic direction. Joe and James have created strong supporting casts and performed a terrific effort that produced excellent outcomes for Motion and Genuine Parts Company. The value Motion provides to its customers, staff, and stakeholders will undoubtedly be improved by these adjustments.
