Investment Of Rs.11,200 Cr For MSME Sector In The Next 2-3 Years

“The future industrial parks in Howrah will draw close to Rs 4,450 crore, and it’s also expected that another Rs 6,750 crore would be invested in industries and entrepreneurial sectors throughout the district. Hence, a sum of Rs 11,200 crore is expected to be invested overall. As these investments are realised, it is anticipated that more than 1,60,000 people will get direct or indirect employment, according to Chandranath Sinha, state minister of MSME and textiles, who spoke at a business synergy event at Sarat Sadan in Howrah.

Under the SAIP (Scheme for Authorized Industrial Park) 2020 scheme, four projects from private developers have received final approval in 2022–2023 for the establishment of industrial parks, bringing the total number of finally approved proposals to seven. The MSME Industrial Park proposals are these. foundry parks at Ranihati Amta Road, Anantapur Industrial Park, Ranihati Foundry Park, and Jagatballavpur Small Foundry Park. A top MSME department official stated, “Foundry Cluster Development Association is proposing to establish a Light Engineering Park on a 60-acre property which will play a vital role for engineering businesses of Howrah.”
