ExxonMobil is spending close to INR 900 crore (USD $110 million) to construct a lubricant production facility at the Isambe Industrial Area of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation in Raigad. In front of Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister, Uday Samant, the industry minister, and other top Maharashtrian authorities, the business made the news.

Once it is up and running, the facility may be able to produce 159,000 kiloliters of finished lubricants annually, which would help to meet the rising domestic demand from industries like manufacturing, steel, power, mining, and construction as well as from the passenger and commercial vehicle segments. By the end of 2025, it is anticipated to start operating.

Local production will streamline our supply chain, allowing us to better meet the needs of our Indian clients and consumers, according to ExxonMobil Lubricants Pvt. Ltd. CEO Vipin Rana.
