The Ministry of Commerce has announced the development of an online platform aimed at providing guidance and support to aspiring exporters. Director General of Foreign Trade, Santosh Kumar Sarangi, revealed that the Trade Connect e-Platform will be available for operation within the next three months.

The innovative platform is set to offer a wide range of resources and tutorials to assist new exporters in starting their journey. This includes detailed information on products in demand, target markets, relevant buyer events, and necessary paperwork. Additionally, the portal will also provide information on regulatory matters, export benefits, tariffs in different countries, and opportunities available through India’s Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).

In addition, the Trade Connect e-Platform will address non-tariff barriers faced by exporters and provide strategies for navigating them. Importers will also find value in the platform, as it encompasses details on import tariffs, quality standards, and other requirements for importing goods.

To further assist potential exporters, a dedicated help desk will be established to answer queries and provide support. The platform will also act as a central intermediary between exporters and various government trade-related entities, including Indian missions abroad. Moreover, it will serve as an authentic source for buyers to verify Indian exporter profiles.

Furthermore, the Trade Connect e-Platform will facilitate the reporting and resolution of trade disputes, while also functioning as a channel for exporters to tap into e-commerce opportunities and leads generated by Indian missions.

Overall, this all-inclusive online portal aims to streamline trade processes and empower Indian exporters by providing comprehensive support and valuable resources.
