BTRA Welcomed Textile Minister

The Bombay Textile Research Association (BTRA) Welcomes New Textile Minister Shri. Giriraj Singh, Smt Rachna Shah (Textile Secretary) Shri. Rajeev Saxena (Joint Secretary), Smt. Roop Rashi Mahapatra (Textile Commissioner), Shri. S P Verma (Joint Textile Commissioner) on 13th July 2024.  Main objective of the visit is to understand the activities of the research Institute, Center of Excellence and review the projects under NTTM. 

The Minister visited BTRA premises and various labs of BTRA, the main attraction was the carbon fiber precursor pilot plant, which was recently started and open for industry for carbon fiber sampling and manufacturing. After the visit there was a small presentation with BTRA and BTRA council members. BTRA presented their innovation, research and various activities.

BTRA has proposed 800 tons per annum carbon fiber precursor plant in any of the Textile Park.

Btra also showcased its ability to produce 1K,2K,3K and 4K precursor tows.

The Minister was overwhelmed and confident on the BTRA CAPABILITY.

 SASMIRA shared some success stories about their researched products.

 The Wool Research Association (WRA) also presented their activities and various innovative projects.
