brrr° Completes $6.3 Million Capital Round As Designer David Chu Becomes Strategic Investor And Joins Board Of Director

Brrr°®, a pioneer in cooling yarn, has closed a $6.3 million round of funding, which includes a strategic investment from renowned designer David Chu.

Through his business, DC Designs International, Chu will join the brrr° Board of Directors and work with brrr° to design fabrics and assist sales to international manufacturing partners.

The Series B round of fundraising for Atlanta-based brrr°, which was established in 2014 by former SPANX executive Mary-Cathryn Kolb, contains convertible notes from prior capitalizations. The money will be used by brrr° to fund its international expansion, sales, marketing, and research and development of cutting-edge cooling textile technology.

In addition to providing a library of hundreds of fabrics, brrr° collaborates with brands and mill partners to develop custom blends that precisely match their requirements.
