BharatTex 2025-Bhilwara Roadshow organized in Bhilwara Rajasthan

NEW DELHI – October 19, 2024: The BharatTex 2025 – Bhilwara Roadshow was successfully conducted today by the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), in collaboration with The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL), Rajasthan Textile Mills Association (RTMA), and Mewar Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI). More than 100 important players from Rajasthan’s textile value chain attended the event, which was a major step toward the much-awaited BharatTex 2025.

The chief guest of the roadshow was Ms. Shubhra, Trade Advisor, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. During her speech, she reiterated the government’s steadfast dedication to supporting the expansion of the textile industry and emphasized the significance of industry cooperation to turn BharatTex 2025 into a historic occasion for the Indian textile sector. As the Guest of Honour, Shri Damodar Agarwal, Member of Parliament from Bhilwara, Rajasthan, highlighted Bhilwara’s vital role in determining the future of Indian textiles.

Key industry leaders delivered impactful presentations, including:

• Shri Rakesh Mehra, Chairman, CITI, underscored BharatTex 2025 as a unique opportunity to position India’s textile industry on the global stage. In his address, he stated, “BharatTex 2025 will not only showcase the strength and capabilities of India’s textile sector but will also serve as a platform to elevate our global competitiveness. Bhilwara, as one of the key textile hubs of India, plays a pivotal role in driving this narrative forward. We look forward to the active participation of all stakeholders in making BharatTex a resounding success.”

• Dr. S.N. Modani, Chairman, RTMA, shared insights on innovations within the domestic textile sector.

• Shri B.M. Sharma, President, MCCI, emphasized the importance of value chain integration for sustainable growth.

• Dr. Siddhartha Rajagopal, Executive Director, Texprocil, and Ms. Chandrima Chatterjee, Secretary General, CITI, provided a comprehensive overview of BharatTex 2025, outlining the event’s objectives to enhance India’s textile exports and drive sustainable practices across the sector.

Important industrialists from Bhilwara and dignitaries engaged in lively conversation during the event, addressing important issues affecting the textile and clothing value chain. The industry’s commitment to ensuring the worldwide success of BharatTex 2025 was underlined throughout these meetings.

Shri Dinesh Nolkha, Vice Chairman, CITI & MD, Nitin Spinners Ltd., gave a vote of appreciation to conclude the event. He thanked everyone who had attended and underlined the importance of continuing collaboration in order to propel India’s textile industry to new heights.
