For the North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation (NEHHDC), a division of the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region (DoNER), receiving accreditation is a significant accomplishment. Eri Silk is the only vegan silk in the world. Its production process is special because it lets the silk moth come out of its cocoon on its own, maintaining the integrity of the silk strands and satisfying the demand for eco-friendly textiles around the world.
