PDS limited, anonymously knows as PDS, has collaborated with the Good Fashion Funds in Bangladesh. PDS limited and Good Fashion Fund together will install the sate-of-the-art wash plant, a one of its kind in Bangladesh.
The PDS is a fashion infrastructure company which has its global presence. Recently, it announced its collaboration with the Good Fashion Funds to install a state-f-the-art was plant. This is still in progress. The installation will be taking place in Progress Apparels Bangladesh Ltd. This is one of the subsidries of PDS.
The installation will be co-funded by a Netherlands based company, Good Fashion fund. This is subject to approval. This project was initiated by the Laudes foundation. The main aim is to be a chance in the apparel and the textile industry and also to finance the technologies and good fashion practices.
The facility of Admajee EPZ in Dhaka is spread across 270,000 sq.ft. It manufactures 900,000 units on a monthly basis which included school wear, shorts, skirts in some leading retail brands. The operations are further enhanced by the rich design and have made a full progress in the rich design facility and a full-service design to deliver partner from retailers to brands.
The newly launched wash plant is capable of washing 6 million garments per annum. It included 2 washing machines , 3 dryer machines and 2 hydro machines with inverters in it. With this, 90% of the current wash requirement is fulfilled.
