After the two occurrence “Tajrin Fashions factory fire” and “Rana-Plasza collapse” at last year, the garment sector came under criticism at home and abroad. However, the sector is improving gradually after taking the initiative decision with “working-environment improvement project”. Meanwhile, BGMEA sets a new target to export 50 billion or five billion dollars (nearly four lakh crore) RMG before the end Of 2021. which will create huge employment opportunities in the near future of the industry.
It’s should be mentioned here that, in the past for every factory had only a manager, who completed the total work with some line-man. However, times have changed, and now this sector is an art, an International Business. As a results, such professionals are required.
Industrial Experts have reported that, there are huge job section in Garment sector like that production of garment management, product quality control, human resources, compliance, accounting, marketing, fashion designers, textile engineers, product quality improvement, production, sample sections, administration, etc. Anyone who starts his/her career here with 15 to 30 thousand Taka’s per month, can take it at million within few years by applying his/her qualifications and working experiences.
One of the established factory owners has shared a story from his experience. He said, a senior official of his factory gets a monthly salary of Rs one lakh with other facilities. Although he passed just degrees and joined at the factory as a Commercial Officer.
