500 Vintage Dior items between the years 1996 and 2011, from John Galliano’s designs, are going to be auctioned at the French auction house in the Cornette de Saint Cyr.
According to WWD, there are 300 items that originate from a Russian lady, who collected these items from Galliano’s debut 1997 Fall Collection.
According to Hubert Felbacq, head of Cornette de Saint Cyr’s luxury and vintage department, “the sale is highly emblematic of Galliano’s stylistic evolution at the house of Dior.”
Other items, such as Dior’s famed Bar suit, were sourced from a client who preferred customisation.
A floral camisole top costs 30 euros, while a crimson double-breasted python coat from Dior’s AW06 collection costs 6,000 euros.
