Joining the worldwide movement for the LGBTQ+ community, Versace is extending their support through an exclusive capsule collection amid Pride month. The limited-edition pieces are inspired by the rainbow flag on contrasting black pieces.

The first look was unveiled on June 12, just three days before the US Supreme Court ruled that gay, lesbian and transgender workers will be protected under federal law in a landmark decision. “Last year I had the honour of becoming a Stonewall Ambassador. Supporting LGBTQ+ people has always been a priority for me. Now more than ever it’s important we add actions to our words,” announced artistic director and vice president, Donatella Versace. Last year, the designer participated in the WorldPride march in New York City, wearing her own rainbow creation.

To further the Italian house’s long-standing support to diversity and inclusivity, a part of the sale proceeds will be donated to two charities. Pride Live, a national non-profit dedicated to spreading awareness and equality and Arcigay, Italy’s largest queer benefit organisation will benefit from the collection in the States and Europe respectively.

The Versace x Pride 2020 line-up includes tank tops, leggings, a swimsuit, sports bra, other intimate wear pieces and statement accessories emblazoned with the brand’s logo over the rainbow stripes. It is available to shop on Versace.com.
