UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT) along with Clothworkers’ company and the Campaign for wool has launched the British Textile Week from 9-15 September virtually. The Textile week is a digital platform to showcase the various aspects of the UK textile industry.
The fashion week, inaugurated by Princess Royal (President of UKFT) is expected to highlight the world class and highly sought after Britain craftsmanship in front of the whole world.
During the week different renowned Britain textile companies and their products will be highlighted in this global platform as said be princess herself “UK is renowned around the world for quality and originality of its textiles- ranging from the world’s most sought- after cashmere to the finest worsted wool, luxurious tweeds and silks and distinctive tartans”. Each day of the week will have a theme and different articles, news, interviews regarding the theme will be highlighted during this time.
During this difficult time it can be said the initiative taken by the UKFT to highlight their textile and apparel in front of a global community is commendable.
