A conversation on the contemporaneity and responsibility of Bemberg ™ fibre through the multiple interpretations on the meaning of fashion by four realities: Zegna, Gilberto Calzolari, Zerobarracento and Carnet by Ratti

Laying the bases for a more sustainable world, adopting responsible strategies is no longer an option but an indispensable and compulsory structural revolution today and for the future to come. This topic is the subject of the Smart Voice ” The Circular Stories of C.L.A.S.S.: the journey of Bemberg™ by Asahi Kasei towards a smart, responsible and contemporary luxury” organised by C.L.A.S.S. eco hub that has taken place on Thursday 27th May at 4 pm CET. 4 unique and complimentary design realities has been sharing the Bemberg ™ choice as unique and precious fibre ingredient that gives rise to a performing design incorporating new generation values, for their unique paths of style and fashion to offer to the contemporary consumer.

Since 1931, Bemberg™ by Asahi Kasei has been telling a story of quality, research, innovation and important collaborations: it has always been a point of reference for stylists and Italian craft tailoring. The DNA of the fibre has a circular economy imprint, first of all thanks to the origin of the raw material, cotton linters, converted through a traceable and transparent closed loop process. Produced in Japan, Bemberg™ confirms the standards of quality and responsible innovation through an LCA study signed by ICEA, as well as a GRS certification, Oeko-Tex 100 and tested performances of biodegradability, compostability and ecotoxicity certified by Innovhub. Thanks to these new generation values, since 4 years Bemberg™ is also partner of C.L.A.S.S., the international ecohub which has established itself as a reference point in the fashion and textile sector for brands, designers, producers, students and all those who want to activate the value of responsibility within a design and innovative fashion.
