Two Norwegian organisations have joined forces with Copenhagen Fashion Week (CFW) to adopt the event’s sustainability standards for their own yearly events.
Members of the Norwegian Fashion Hub, which includes more than 60 companies, and enterprises wishing to participate in Oslo’s Fushion Festival will now be required to fulfil basic sustainability standards, which include the use of “sustainable” materials and packaging, among other things.
Copenhagen Fashion Week CFW has announced its first partner outside of Denmark. From January 2023 all brands applying for a show or presentation during Copenhagen Fashion Week must meet minimum sustainability requirements to participate in the official show schedule. Participants will have to comply with 17 minimum standards, including pledging not to destroy unsold clothes and using only sustainable packaging.
