Mumbai, 5th April, 2021: India’s leading homegrown jeanswear brand, Spykar, announces the launch of their Spring Summer 2021 collection across stores as well as on digital platforms.

Commenting on the collection, Abhishek Yadav, Design Head, Spykar said, “The collection includes sub-collections like Beachcomber, Homespun, Eracer, Punk and Geogypsy. It is a unique mix of various aspects including 80’s punk culture, online gaming trends, nautical themes, global gpysy patterns and traditional craftsmanship inspired prints.”

As we enter the new normal, there is a lot of change in which fashion is perceived. The customer is looking for not just brands ‘Made in India’, but also more of culture in their clothing. Traditional craftsmanship and artistry, prints and textures inspired by local crafts are a hot trend this season, which are also the focal point of the Homespun range.

Keeping up with the current trends for this season statement and conversational prints, cut and sew detail in garments, bright stripes, floral prints, camouflage and placement prints across panels and pockets are central to the Beachcomber collection inspired by nautical themes.

Eracer is a unique range that is inspired by the online gaming trend. Menswear staple prints such as florals, placement graphics and stripes are recreated with thermal, solarized and softfocus filters. Gamescape is a story that thrives on the confident use of colour and pattern and not being afraid to try new things.

The 80’s was a great time for fashion and gave the world some amazing trends which we can’t get enough of till today. The Punk subculture from that era is definitely worth revisiting. Major inspiration for the prints and graphics for the Punk range comes from ripped band posters and graffiti, having a DIY look with hand sketched motifs and doodles.

The Geogypsy collection takes inspiration from nature and global patterns. The designs are bold with paneled colour, all over prints and tie-dye finishes. Colour palette ranges from rustic neutrals to bright bohos.
