The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) has organized ‘SGCCI Garment Expo-2023’ at Platinum Hall, Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sarsana, Surat during 27-28 December, 2023. A ‘Garment Conclave 2023′ will also be organized from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. during this two days event.
SGCCI President Ramesh Vaghasia said, as part of an effort to develop the entire South Gujarat including Surat as a garment hub, the SGCCI has organized “Garment Expo-2023”.
About 40 stalls will display all the essentials that entrepreneurs need to set up a garment unit like machines, threads, laces, buttons, color analysis and fashion designers garments etc. This expo will open the doors of huge opportunities for vendors sourcing in the garment and fashion industry. Around 10000 visitors are expected to attend this event.
SGCCI Vice President Vijay Mevawala said, with the aim to provide information about fashion forecasting, garment manufacturing, color matching in garments and the role of artificial intelligence in the industry, a Garment Conclave 2023’ will also be organized during the expo. Inaugural ceremony of ”SGCCI Garment Expo – 2023″ will be held at Platinum Hall on 27th December, 2023 at 10:00 am. Municipal Commissioner of Surat, Shalini Aggarwal(IAS) will be present as chief guest.
Uma Reddy, Vice President of Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Naveen Sainani, Joint Secretary of The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), Senior Vice President of The Gujarat Garment Manufacturers Association (GGMA) and co-chairman of Textile Task Force of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry(GCCI) Mr. Arpan Shah will also remain present at the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest.
The former president of SGCCI, Himanshu Bodawala said, the first session on ‘Fashion’ will be held on December 27, 2023 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, in which fashion expert Yashi Saksena, creative lead of ICH NEXT Womenswear, Research and Design, will present a speech on ‘Fashion Forecasting’ as the keynote speaker. Apart from this, Pantone India Business Development Manager Ankita Kothari will guide on the topic ‘Importance of Indicator Colors and Color Matching in Garment Industry’.
Honorary secretory of SGCCI, Nikhil Madrasi said, the second session will be held on ‘Garment Production’. Mr. Prashant Agarwal, Co-Founder and Joint Managing Director of Wazir Advisors will give information on ‘Revolutionizing Manufacturing: Smart Factory Development in the Global and Indian Garment Industry’. Surender Jain, Business Director, Wazir Advisors will deliver a talk on ‘Unveiling the secrets on establishing an efficient global garment factory’.
