REVENUE AT FRENCH LUXURY GROUP KERING GROWS BY 34.7% TO €17.64 BILLION

French luxury group Kering has witnessed its revenue shoot up by 34.7% to €17.64 billion for the year that ended 31 December 2021. Additionally, the Group’s EBITDA rose by 41.5% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) to €6.47 billion.

Brand-wise, Gucci posted a Y-o-Y revenue jump of 31.2% to €19.7 billion during the said period. While Yves Saint Laurent saw its sales go up by 45.6% to €2.52 billion, Bottega Veneta’s revenue rose by 25.1 per cent to €1.5 billion.

Kering has attributed the sales growth to its continued bounceback from the pandemic, which has prompted a sustained e-commerce growth. The Group’s e-commerce revenue for the period saw a rise of 55 per cent, when compared to 2019, and now accounts for 15% of total sales in the Group.

Kering was founded in 1963 and generated €13.1 billion in 2019. The Paris-based retail group owns luxury brands like BalenciagaBottega VenetaGucciAlexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent.
