The Mango Group has announced the introduction of Alter Made, a new green brand targeted at “conscious consumption” and a dedication to local manufacture.
Mango stated that the brand would offer timeless, long-lasting, and high-quality collections for customers who want to wear green fashion.
Alter Made will be available only online in Spain, France, Germany, and the Netherlands beginning in early November at altermadeconcept.com.
The brand also signifies a dedication to local production, with clothing manufactured in Europe and Turkey by suppliers chosen for their experience in various fabrics.
Mango has launched a new brand, Alter Made, aimed at a specific public that wishes to consume responsibly. Alter Made plans to adopt a production strategy of short runs in order to minimise surpluses. The target is for the brand to make a turnover of EUR25m (US$29.2m) in three years.

Alejandra Mur has joined Mango as the purchasing director for the brand’s Women collection and is responsible for its sustainability initiatives. She aims to create high-quality garments that are produced locally and are long-lasting. “To achieve this, it is important to focus on every detail of the garment, as well as on the partners we will be working with”, she says.
