H&M AND WWF TO COLLABORATE FOR A NEW INNOVATION.

Fashion giant H&M Group has joined hands with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in Cambodia to develop an artificial intelligence-enabled smartphone application capable of swiftly identifying species of wood.

The duois to offer up the technology, called WoodAI, to garment manufacturing facilities throughout Cambodia, which it’s believed will help them adopt wood species – used for power generation – which won’t contribute to deforestation.

“The Ministry encourages other clothing brands to follow this example and also support efforts to save natural forests and wildlife for the long-term benefit of people and nature,” said NethPheaktra,Cambodia’s Secretary of State to the Ministry of Environment.
