Glen Raven, Inc., a leading producer of innovative performance textiles with well-known names such as Sunbrella® and Dickson®, will create 205 new jobs in Warren County as it expands its Custom Fabrics operations, Governor Roy Cooper said today. Norlina will get up to $82 million in investment from the firm.
Glen Raven, Inc. will bring over new employment to Warren County, North Carolina. The company’s new employment offers competitive compensation and will produce an average income that is higher than Warren County’s average earnings of $30,494. Once the jobs are in place, the local region will witness an annual payroll effect of more than $6.5 million.
Glen Raven Custom Fabrics will receive $1,000,000 from the One North Carolina Fund to assist with its Warren County expansion. The OneNC Fund offers financial support to local governments in order to encourage economic investment and employment creation. Senator Ernestine Bazemore stated, “There is no better testament to our region’s strength as a commercial destination than when a local firm expands.”
