BEMBERG BY ASAHI KASEI TOSTS TO 90 YEARS OF SMART STYLE AND NEW CRAFTED ELEGANCE AT PREMIERE VISION

From India to the United States, Japan, Italy and France, Bemberg™ is back to Paris to celebrate its 90th  anniversary through its latest collections, premium partnerships with contemporary brands such as ECOALF and a brand new visual identity.

Paris, February 2022 – At Première Vision, Bemberg™ by Asahi Kasei celebrates its enduring, 90 years long  commitment for style and innovation that include responsibility that conquered leading international brands across Planet Fashion. The industry-leading textile fair will represent another pivotal occasion for Bemberg™ to showcase its latest claim “Crafted Elegance”, which perfectly embodies its values of preciousness, quality and refined aesthetic blended with innovation and responsible values. “Première Vision is an extremely important chapter of our ongoing journey through style celebrating 9 decades of responsible fashion-making.” Says Mr. Koji Hamada, CEO of Asahi Kasei Fibers Italia. “At our booth [Pav 4, Booth E34] visitors can glimpse the link between past and present, our values and chromosomes for the fashion to come.”

At Premiere Vision in Paris we are extremely proud to unveil our ultimate collaboration with Ecoalf.” Born in 2009, both the name and concept of the brand came after the birth of Javier Goyenche’s – founder and president – two sons: Alfredo and Alvaro. He wanted to create a truly sustainable fashion brand and believed the most sustainable action to take was to stop using natural resources in a careless way to ensure them to the next generation. Since then, Ecoalf’s mission has been to make a new generation of recycled products with the same quality and design as the best non-recycled. Based on this design idea, the Mery dress and Patrica pants are part of Ecoalf’s FW21 collection and both made with 100% Bemberg ™ Cupro by Asahi Kasei.

EMBRACING SMART FASHION AT 360° – The visionary Bemberg™ brand is renowned for its eco-high-tech yarns which are able to inject sustainability into premium textiles and are designed to match all styles and  uses. Bemberg™’ is cool and sensual with a unique, supple drape. It is extremely antistatic and breathable, while its soft versatility makes it perfect for The Modern Wardrobe fashions, athleisure and everyday casual wear. ‘Responsibly precious’ is one of the brand’s key assets. Not only contemporary style, but a circular-economy imprint, born from the smart-tech transformation of cotton linter, a preconsumer material converted through a traceable and transparent closed loop process. An INNOVHUB report confirms that Bemberg™ filaments disintegrate at 100% and that Bemberg™’s very low concentration of hazardous substances complies with the limits specified by the UNI EN 13432.

A NEW BRAND IDENTITY – The Parisian exhibition completes the company’s celebrative two-chapter journey. The first half was presented during Pitti Uomo, where Bemberg™ showed archival suits crafted by the historic Sartoria Litrico and lined in Cupro. Behind them stood the new visual image of Bemberg™, focused on exceptional beauty, one-of-a-kind uniqueness and joyful comfort. 90 years are quite a milestone. “Actually, it also is a brilliant reason to keep looking forward.” Adds Hamada. “With our partners we are ready to work on the next challenges. It is time to roll up our sleeves and look forward to celebrating our first century anniversary.”
