Various trends followed. #pillowchallenge took the world by storm. Whether an individual defines oneself as a trendsetter or follower, one thing majority would prefer is wearing comfortable clothing, above all else, during this #stayathome or #workfromhome time period. Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean we can’t make it fun.

Take your pick from the prints and pattern trends of 2020 ‘quarantine edition’:

  • CONTRAST – Pajama Party for 1

Match with the Bollywood queen Deepika Padukone, sporting a vertical striped lapel collar pajama. As stripes are vintage, yet, always in. Flaunting another loungewear, a dark set with contrasting white piping.

Here are some pajama styles you can try. First, a similar one to Deepika’s striped one. Second, a silky number with pockets on the top, paired with the color of contrast piping boy shorts. Third, an indigenous, traditional printed dark blue pajama set, with pink piping, which can also be worn as a fashion statement, outside the house.

  • PRINTED KAFTAN – Comfort for the Soul

Do it like Bebo aka Kareena Kapoor Khan, an avid lover of this silhouette. This quirky print Masaba easy breezy item, seems like you are on a top of a cloud.

These are some fashionable kaftan prints you could flaunt. First, from Good earth, a sustainable handcrafted design inspired from different cultures and traditions. Second, a Masaba tribal printed design, a spectacle of modern India. Third is from The Loom, an indigo hand block printed kaftan with tassel detailing.

  • CLASSIC GREY SWEATS or COLORBURST TIE DYE

Grey sweats are always a safe option and a go-to loungewear for the masses. It’s also an airport look, going-to-the-grocery-store look, going-out-for-a-walk look. Every man, woman and child can pull off this look.

Although, a matching set looks fancy, like the one Selena Gomez wore during her quarantine life at home. Ananya Panday donned a colorful tie dye sweatshirt hoodie at her abode.

First and third options are tie dye tops one can wear with sweatpants or twin set. Second one is a sustainable choice, closer to home. Sustainable active wear company Satva partners with Suminter India Organics, an environmental and socially conscious organic cotton production corporation in India. The cotton cultivation is done with organic, non-GMO, non-treated seeds, and no chemicals (including harmful dyes). They use the raw material for producing their apparel, and in turn also support development of rural farming communities in India.

Or instead, reuse your old grey sweats by upcycling it into a high fashion tie dye set. A DIY project with some bleach and dyes colors of your choice.

  • BRAND NAMES & LOGOS

Biker shorts or cycling shorts are a comeback, since OG Princess Diana influenced the trend, still relevant today. An athleisure look with a hoodie or crop top paired with the shorts. But lately, flaunting it with a logo stamped on it.

Hailey and Justin Bieber, Malaika Arora and Kylie Jenner have hopped on the trend. They show off their athleisure mood with this comfy yet luxurious appearance.

Biker shorts from brands like Nike and Adidas, having their iconic logos. The middle one is a hoodie featuring the Balenciaga brand name. One can dress it up or dress it down, but it is here to stay for a while.
