Donear Industries, a prominent player in the textile industry, has unveiled ambitious plans to revolutionise the retail landscape with the launch of 50 exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) that will showcase their newly introduced neo-stretch fabric. Rajendra V. Agarwal, the dynamic managing director of the company, revealed this strategic initiative in an exclusive interview with ETRetail. The move comes as part of a broader expansion strategy that encompasses the establishment of two new retail formats – speciality stores and multi-brand outlets.
The company, which operates under the umbrella of three flagship entities – GBTL, OCM Private Ltd, and Donear Industries – boasts a diverse portfolio of nationally recognized luxury brands catering to the discerning Indian consumer. The speciality stores, tailored for men’s fashion, will offer a wide array of products crafted from innovative four-way stretch fabric. Complementing this, a chain of multi-brand outlets under the Donear Group will serve as comprehensive destinations showcasing premium luxury fabrics and general apparel.
With an asset-light model in place, the company envisions a strategic roll-out of EBOs and MBOs across the country, targeting the robust markets of the West and North Zones in the initial phase. Leveraging its existing network of over 450 D’Cot stores, Donear Industries is poised to tap into new growth opportunities and deepen its footprint in the retail sector.
Agarwal underscored the financial robustness of the company, citing a healthy EBIDTA of 9-11% and a strong post-depreciation surplus of 5-6%. With a staggering business turnover of Rs 1,700 crore, Donear Industries is well-positioned to sustain its growth momentum and propel its expansion projects.
