Denim manufacturers seek to meet the varied demands of the Spring/Summer 2025 market by producing jeans in a range of weights and cuts.

Lightweight fabrics that look hard but have imperceptible elasticity are Kaltex’s specialty in Mexico. Fabrics have an “excellent hand feel,” said Monica Betancur, the mill’s product, marketing, and merchandising manager. Some of the fabrics feature relic weaves like herringbone.

Cone’s “In the Clouds” theme inspired the mill to create a range of airy fabrics from materials including cotton and Tencel. It blends the fibers to preserve the yarn’s natural texture while adding extra softness that works well with the season’s billowy, oversized silhouettes.

Lightweight fabrications are a significant trend for Spring/Summer 25, according to Imran Tanveer, assistant vice president of research and development at Crescent Bahuman Ltd. To provide “adequate comfort,” the Pakistani factory focuses on improving the functionality of lightweight materials.

Naveena Denim Ltd. (NDL), based in Lahore, Pakistan, creates breathable and comfortable fabrics with the look and feel of denser materials. “From fabric constructions to fiber choices, each fabric boasts a unique shade and offers breathability and comfort to endure the scorching summer temperatures,” explained Rashid Iqbal, NDL’s executive director of marketing.

The new DenimLITE collection by Soorty offers an assortment of breezy, supple, and featherweight denim textiles. DenimLITE’s lightweight compositions require yarns with outstanding tenacity and quality. Soorty’s marketing and communications manager, Eda Dikmen, explains that the mill’s “spinning heritage” allows it to do just that with regenerative fibers.

Ray-U CO Denim’s Nebula line features “lighter weights to help fight the heat.” Jacquard patterns in various weights and sizes and multi-count yarns for a genuine vintage look are also featured prominently at the mill.

Artistic Milliners is back with a Hygge capsule collection that perfectly combines denim’s vintage charm and soft coziness. Milliner Cotton Initiative cotton, recycled polyester, Thermolite, and Lycra EcoMade appear in the Nordic-inspired materials.

Like Raymond, you’ll find him fusing history and eco-friendliness. According to Raymond’s head of sales and technical marketing, Sudhir Deorukhkar, the traditional denim made on shuttle looms (the same technology employed in the 1800s) is the critical subject of the S/S ’25 line. The fabrics are dyed with bioindigo and then finished without any chemicals.
