adidas Originals Celebrates a Christmas Classic with the ‘Home Alone’ Forum Low Sneaker

This December, adidas Originals pays homage to a classic Christmas favorite. Taking inspiration from the white and red Forum sneaker worn by lead character Kevin McCallister in the first Home Alone movie, the brand with the Three Stripes and the iconic film studio have come together to launch a limited edition take on the iconic silhouette.
Drawing on Kevin’s dramatic encounters with Harry and Marv, also known as ‘The Wet Bandits’, the timeless Forum Low sneaker is given a number of playfully unique updates. First up, the cream and off-white leather upper is complemented by red accents and subverted with burn marks resembling the iconic fire scene from the film. Next, bringing the Home Alone inspiration to the fore is a canvas strap with a torn open segment that reveals the movie’s logo on the front and the catchphrase “This is my house, I have to defend it” on the back. A metal heel piece then boasts a Glow in the Dark heel loop – a tongue-in-cheek nod to the McCallister family branded doorknob as well as the hot wire trap used by Kevin to defeat ‘The Wet Bandits’. The Christmas-ready look is rounded out with Home Alone branded rubber keychains, metal lace jewels which subtly reference key moments in the movie, and three extra sock liners bearing printed images of scenes from the film.
In celebration of the launch of the festive sneaker, adidas Originals is set to host a number of exciting activations, with a focus on Chicago and Paris — two cities that are intrinsically connected to the plotline of ‘Home Alone’.
Fans of the adidas Originals ‘Home Alone’ Forum Low sneaker are invited to enter the draw for early access through Confirmed. Sign ups open on November 23rd at 10am CET and winning entries will be able to purchase the sneaker on December 1st.
