You never need to give up fashion just because you are going camping. Your outfits should be functional, supportive, versatile, stylish, and comfortable. You can read more about eight essential outfits that you need for your next camping trip in the list below.

Travel Clothing

When you are traveling to your campsite, especially if it is far away, you need to wear clothing that is comfortable for the entire ride. You also should consider that this outfit will likely be the one that you will set up the campsite in. Consider a pair of leggings or long pants with a t-shirt, but remember, this outfit may get dirty due to the setup process you have to undergo.

Sleep Comfortable

You will also need an outfit for your camping trip that you can sleep in. If you are going somewhere that has colder weather, bring a flannel or a hoodie that you can wear over a t-shirt and leggings. In the warmer weather, bring a sports bra or tank top and a pair of athletic shorts, as well as a lightweight jacket if you get chilly during the night.

Bonfire Flannel

If you want that classic bonfire look, you need a flannel. This flannel will also keep you warm if the night does get chilly. Pair your flannel with a ripped pair of jeans or with a pair of skinny jeans. Wear a couple of pairs of retro necklaces and some beaded bracelets to get the whole rustic look that you may be going for when you are sitting around the first fire.

On the off chance, if you want to spend your weekend leaisurely, you can consider booking Virgin Gorda Villas.

Swimsuits

If you are going camping near a lake or by the beach, you will need swimwear if it is warm enough outside. Bring along your favorite one-piece if you want to keep your body clean in a lake, or wear a two-piece if you want to show off the latest fashion and looks. Consider a cute bohemian cover-up for when you are walking down to the water.

Hiking

When you go camping in Connecticut, you will likely go on some type of hike or will at least go on a nature walk of some form. Bring along a pair of utilitarian shorts and a sporty tank top or t-shirt if it is warm outside. Put on a pair of hiking boots and good socks that will prevent blisters to help you maintain traction no matter where the trail leads to.

Layers

During the morning and evening hours in the northern states, even during the summer, it is likely a bit chilly outside. Wear layers on the days you stay near the campsite such as a long-sleeved top over a tank top or even a lightweight jacket. Make sure that any clothing that you wear during the hottest parts of the day has venting so that you can still feel a bit cool.

Weatherproof Clothing

Chances are that it may rain or storm at some point during your camping trip, and it is miserable if your clothing stays wet all day. Pack a rain jacket and a pair of rain boots to protect your clothing and your socks. Clothing that is made from PVC also is not breathable and does take longer to dry in case it does get wet during your camping trip.

Accessories

Though technically not a camping outfit, it is important to remember the accessories that you will need for your trip. Bring a pair of cheap flip-flops that you can wear in the shower room that will keep your feet clean. You can also bring a bandana or a hat to wear on your head to block the sun. In the winter, bring a beanie and a pair of gloves to keep you warm.

Final Thoughts

If you are planning a camping trip, it is important to have the right clothing to ensure that you are prepared for anything. By bringing lightweight clothing for the summer and layers for the cooler months, you will be sure to keep yourself safe and comfortable no matter where you go.
